Mark Spano, President and CEO of PM Recovery is pleased to announce that Edwin G Falkman, former CEO and Chairman of Waste Management International PLC is joining PM Recovery as VP/Director of International Business Development effective immediately. “Mr. Falkman brings a wealth of managerial experience to the PM group of companies having spent the past 33 years developing and managing enterprises and providing services to both public and private sectors in solid waste, waste water treatment and renewable energy (from waste and other sources) in over 30 countries in Europe, Asia/Pacific, South America and the Middle East”.
Mr. Falkman’s resume of career accomplishments include the following:
EGF ASSOCIATES - Principal & CEO
• Director, BFL Management Ltd (300 acre renewable energy park development)
• Founding principal in several start-ups including LKQ Inc, (now a $4B NASDAQ company); Cliniserve Holdings Ltd
• Business advisory services in solid waste, renewable energy, water and wastewater.
Chief Executive/Chairman WASTE MANAGEMENT INTERNATIONAL PLC London-based, publicly listed subsidiary of Waste Management, Inc., then the world’s largest solid waste management and environmental services group – turnover of $1.8 B - $13 B respectively for WMI PLC and WM Inc.
• Built Company from $150 M to $1.8 B turnover and net income from $15 M to $160 M (EBITDA $360 M)
• Led spin-off of 20% of Company via global offering, simultaneously listing on both the LSE and NYSE and raising $750 M equity (at the time the largest ever non-privatisation IPO)
• Selected, hired, led key management staff and provided leadership for 20,000 employees in over 25 countries.
